This product is an evaluation device that can measure the adhesion characteristics (meniscus) and friction characteristics of nano-lubricating films under ultra-light loads.
Both adhesion force and friction force can be measured with high resolution (resolution of 5 μN).
In addition to measuring the adhesion and friction forces of lubricants for MEMS components, it can also be applied to measure the friction characteristics of biological joint lubricants, protein lubricants, and artificial joint cartilage materials, as well as to evaluate adsorption/wear conditions.
